Marci Stick Puppets - Hannah.

Hello La-La Landers,
remember I told you I was going to a Mum and Me crop recently? Well here is one of the projects I was working on that day.
I had a few pieces of dowel from the local Dollar Store to play with and thought they would make great Marci holders. All you have to do is colour a group of your favourite Marci and Luka Stamps. Cut them out and attach them to the dowels. Then you can play theater too.
You can make up lots of great stories with your friends and play all kinds of fun "theatrics". I used Princess Marci, Fancy Marci and Marci with Rose. I think I am missing a Prince or two in my story, so maybe next time I will add Luka to my stage.
Please show us YOUR Marci and Luka crafts too!

Paper Rose Tutorial by Carly

Hi, I'm back with my tutorial on paper roses!

Here are the supplies you will need:
  • paper or cardstock
  • circle punch
  • scissors
  • piercing tool
  • glue dots
1)  First, I punched a circle out.
 2)  Then I cut a spiral from the ouside of circle and going around until you come to the middle.
You need to leave a circle about the size of a glue dot at the end.
3)  Next, I took my paper piercer and started wrapping the outside edge around it.
4)  Keep wrapping it around until you get to the circle center
5)  It might be wrapped too tight, so you can let it go and let it loosen up a little, til it's about the size as the center circle.
6)  Add a glue dot to that center circle and press the rose down on top of the glue dot.  The you can push up on the bottom layer so it hides the glue dot.
7)  That's it!
8)  You can add some stickles or glitter to it or even some spray mist to give it some sparkle.
Here's my card again that I adding all my paper roses to.  I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and will try it!

A Birthday Card With Birthday Marci

Hello, Hannah here, I wanted to share with you a card I made for my New friend Meghan. Meghan was eight years old and had a pool party. I coloured her card and chose her presents all by myself.
I asked my mum to cut out some shapes while I was colouring Birthday Marci.
If you saw the tutorial about alcohol inks you might recognise one of the papers I had made. I have used it as the background for Marci.
My shapes are all backed with a piece of cardstock that is just a few millimeters smaller. I think this makes the card look nice. and it looks full. I used some more squares inside to make the card stand up better. If the front is too full the card will fall down!
Hope you like my finished card. I will find out from Meghan next week at school if she liked it...

October Contest - Fall Page Map

Hello Everyone!

Happy October. I am so excited for my first contest. I really love to take a 12x12 sheet and put on anything that makes me happy. I have a little hunt around for some fun stickers or flowers and away I go. So today I thought I would ask you to make a Fall Project. The only rule is that you have to use some of the elements from the sketch idea.

I really like to make scrapbook pages a lot so I created a Fall page using a leaf design and flowers. I found a piece of raffia in my scrapstash and used it to add to my page, you can use ribbon, paper, stickers... YOU decide. I also used my beautiful Faerie Marci stamp to help sprinkle leaves on the ground. Which La-La Land stamp will you use?

Carly has shared her fabulous fall activity too, her page has followed so many of the elements hasn't it?

Julia's page focuses on her love of Soccer - a great fall sport!

Don't forget the rules;
1. Use some - or all - of the elements of the sketch.
2. Use a La-La Land stamp in your design.
3. Post your entry to the blog by October 14th for your chance to win. If you don't have a gallery or blog to upload your entry, you may email it to us at lalalandcrafts4kids@yahoo.com and you will be entered.

Congratulations Charlotte on your contest entry! Everyone made such lovely Favourite Colour projects.

Looking forward to seeing your entries this time too.
